- Don’t overwhelm yourself thinking you have to buy a whole new set. If you do have some money, start with replacing the worst one and get the others as soon as possible.
- Google “used tires” they are a lot cheaper than buying new and this will get you by until you are in a better place financially. There are lots of tire shops that sell used tires are that in good condition. You can always look at it as a plus for the environment as well since it’s sorta like recycling. 🙂
- You can finance your tires… there are places like sunbit.com that finance tires and automotive repairs even if your credit is sucky. They claim to have a 90% approval rate.
- Checkout Facebook marketplace for used or new tires. If you go this route it helps if you have some knowledge in this department or have someone with you that does. You want to make sure that when buying from an individual that you know about tread depth and/or how to look for dry rot.
- Finally you can check out your local salvage yard. Sometimes they sell tires as low as $20 a piece some even on a wheel and if that wheel fits your car well that’s a bonus because you can just change the tire and not have to pay for the mount and balance fee at a tire shop.
In a perfect world if would be nice to just go buy a new set of tires but sometimes it’s just not possible. Things can and will get better! Don’t lose hope and don’t even for a second think you’re the only one out there with money problems. You can and will start to live a more prosperous life with more money and less stress.
